First-time users now get an interactive walkthrough highlighting key features — lyrics, chords, recording, and playback controls. Helps new users find their way without a manual.
Fixed recording format, safe area layout, viewport height, clipboard sharing, and video export bitrate on iOS devices. The app now works reliably on iPhone and iPad Safari.
Exported MP3s now use the exact same effects processing (saturation, reverb, EQ, compression) as live playback. Previously, exports could sound noticeably different — especially with saturation enabled.
Fixed several issues with recording playback: old recordings without track assignments now load correctly, volume levels no longer drift, and switching songs no longer causes stale audio from previous recordings.
Find your ideas faster with text search and date range filters (Today, This Week, This Month) in the scratchpad. Search is server-side so it works across all your notes, not just loaded ones.
Piano samples are now the default instrument for all users, replacing the basic synth. A warmer, more natural sound right from the start.
PRO users can now layer multiple recordings on the same section and hear them all play back together. Record guitar, then vocals, then harmonies — each on its own track. Mix them during playback to build up your arrangement.
The app now saves rendered audio in IndexedDB so it persists between sessions. No more re-rendering chords and sections every time you open a song — just instant playback.
New dice buttons let you randomize your chord progression or roll a genre template (pop, rock, jazz, and more) with one tap. Great for breaking out of creative ruts.
Fixed an issue where recording durations could be shorter or longer than expected. Recordings now use precise BPM-based timing instead of wall-clock time, so they always match the section length.
Fixed several playback issues: switching between loop and through modes no longer causes stale audio, song loading progress no longer jumps backwards, and audio cache recovery is more reliable.
Done, now we can select which areas to copy. Still a dangerous operation
