Onboarding Tour Polish Pass
The new-user tour got a lot smoother. The example song now builds locally instead of waiting on real song creation, so each step advances right away. The chord-builder step plays Em, G, D, and C one at a time so you see (and hear) you can pick chords yourself. The Create Song button no longer dead-ends if you haven't picked any chords — the chord section gets an orange asterisk and pulses if you forget. The skip-tour button now reads "Skip" with the X icon so it's actually noticeable as an exit.
Sound Is Ready Sooner
The app now starts preparing your chord sounds the moment you tap Sign In, Create Account, or Try as Guest, instead of waiting until you've finished signing in. By the time you're ready to play your first song, the audio is already loaded.
Reliability Polish
A handful of small things that add up: if saving a recording fails (storage full, browser misbehaving), a Retry button now appears in a toast so you don't lose the take. The audio loading bar no longer jumps backward mid-load. The Preview tab in dark mode no longer shows a weird black-to-white diagonal fade. The "What's new" banner on the songs page now shows when the update was released.
Songs Create Instantly
Creating a new song used to take five to twenty-five seconds while the app sent dozens of small requests one at a time. Now it's a single round-trip and you're in the editor before you can blink. A loading message pops up so the brief moment doesn't feel like nothing.
