  • Start without an account

Melodoodle opens straight into a song now, no sign-up first. Doodle, Blank and Custom all work as a guest, and so does the scratchpad, voice notes included. Sign in whenever you like and everything you made comes with you.

  • Tips instead of a tour

The guided tour is gone. In its place, a small dot shows up on a tool worth finding, one at a time: the instrument, the Instrumental view (what used to be called full view), Propagate, the song menu. Tap the dot, or just use the tool, and it goes for good. Settings can bring them all back.

  • Takes, first takes, and how a new song sounds

A saved take starts uploading a few seconds after you save it, on any account. Getting to your first take is simpler too: the mic check ends as soon as you allow the microphone, closing it drops you into the recorder, and the clap test keeps the claps it hears. Starting a Doodle now shows how far along the instruments are and plays with a real one once they are ready, in time and at a steady volume. Also: your song list no longer shows the last song you edited twice, Sign in opens the form instead of asking again, and the install offer stays out of the editors and now sits in the account menu.
