Released November 5, 2026·6 updates

  • Arpeggiate chords

Turn a section's chords into an arpeggio from the section menu. Pick the pattern (up, down, up and down, broken, Alberti, ballad, root pedal, octave bounce or climb), the note rhythm (8th notes, 16th notes, tresillo or gallop) and one or two octaves, then apply it to one section, every section of the same type, or the whole song. It plays on the song's instrument as a melody layer you can edit like any other, and the chords can keep playing under it or go quiet. Press Preview to hear it before you apply it.

  • Save a song as a template

PRO: save any song as a template from the song menu. It keeps the sections in order with their length, rhythm and drums, plus the tempo. Your templates show up under Mine when you create a custom song, where you can also rename or delete them.

  • Published songs, mixed and mastered

When you publish a song, it is now mixed and mastered first, for everyone, free accounts included: the parts are balanced, the sound is polished, and it plays at the same loudness as streaming platforms. It is on by default and you can turn it off in the Publish screen.

  • Hear melodies on their real instrument

Previewing a melody in the melody picker now plays it on its real instrument instead of a plain tone, so you hear what you are about to add.

  • Menus and panels that fit

Panels close with Escape on a computer. On a short laptop screen the Publish button and the bass, melody, drum, rhythm and key pickers no longer run off the edge, and they stay next to their button when you scroll. Messages like "Link copied" now show over open panels, and Cancel no longer hides under the iPhone home bar. The section and song menus are regrouped so related actions sit together. The melody editor now shows every note of a melody, even ones outside its usual range.

  • Fast melodies and rock guitar melodies

Melodies with very short notes, like 16ths at a fast tempo, and Pad melodies could fail to play their instrument and fall back to plain tones; they now always use the instrument. Melodies on the rock guitars now get each guitar's own tone, so Hard Rock, Pop Rock, Punk, Indie and Metal sound different from each other.
